Ramadan 2024: Malam Inuwa Foundation feeds 500 people daily

As Muslims across the world observe fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, Malam Inuwa Foundation has commenced its annual Ramadan Feeding Programme.

The Chairman, Alhaji Hussaini Baba noted that with the spirit of giving at its core mandate, the foundation provides iftar meals to thousands in Hadejia town, Jigawa State.

Baba said beyond its spiritual significance, Ramadan serves as a reminder of the stark realities many face, thus free foods exemplify its essence – charity, empathy and community support.

The foundation, according to the chairman, acknowledges the endeavours and provides ease to many during the sacred period through its everyday iftar feeding programme.

“The reach extends far beyond numbers. By feeding 500 individuals daily, 15,000 in a month, the foundation is weaving a tapestry of empathy, from correctional centres to various locations in Hadejia town, leaving an indelible mark of kindness.

“Throughout Ramadan, we will provide Iftar meals as a lifeline of hope and dignity to those facing adversity. By addressing the immediate need for food security, the outreach helps individuals to focus on their spiritual journey.

“The scheme is a testament to the power of community solidarity. As beneficiaries break their fast with nourishing meals, they are reminded of the strength in unity and the importance of supporting one another, especially in challenging times.

“As we embrace the spirit of giving during this holy month, we urge everyone to join hands with Malam Inuwa Foundation in its noble quest to feed and lift the underprivileged.

“In a world plagued by rising costs of goods, economic hardship and social disparities, the efforts of this organisation to cater for the vulnerable are more crucial than ever,” Baba added.
