Obongha emerges housing corporation president

The Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria (AHCN) has elected the Managing Director, Cross River State Property and Investment Company Limited, Eno Obongha as president.

The Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria (AHCN) has elected the Managing Director, Cross River State Property and Investment Company Limited, Eno Obongha as president.

At a keenly contested election held during the 48th AGM/111th Council Meeting in Abuja, other officers elected to steer the affairs of the association for the next two years include the Managing Director of the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), Ayodeji Joseph, who emerged as the first Vice President, while the Managing Director of Kano State Housing Corporation, Mr Abdullahi Rabiu was elected as the second Vice President.

A Director with the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI), Mr Daniel Makava was voted as the scribe of the association. Other elected officers include the General Manager of the Ondo State Development and Property Corporation, Michael Amure as treasurer, the Managing Director of Akwa Ibom Property and Investment Company, Patrick Udomfang, as the auditor.

Also, Mr Albert Afolabi of Centrebase Consult is the Financial Secretary and Mr. Humphrey Ukeh, the General Manager of the Federal Housing Authority is the Chairman of the Technical Committee.

Mr Ugwuozor Gabriel Onyemaechi of the Abuja Property Development Company Limited became the Public Affairs Officer, and Babatunde Adeleke of LSDPC was elected as the Secretary of the Technical Committee. The former president of the association, Dr Victor Onukwugha and Mr Olusesan Obe, the Managing Director of Centre Base Consult Limited Lagos were also elected as ex-officio members.
