Glo, Rector laud Nigerian workers on May Day

A provider of digital telecommunications services, Globacom and Rector of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Dr Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul, yesterday, congratulated Nigerian workers on this year’s International Workers’ Day, urging them to recommit themselves to excellence to advance Nigeria’s growth.

In a statement, Globacom praised workers’ fortitude in the face of current difficulties, which, it noted, is a global phenomenon. It exhorted them to use the observance of the workers’ day to reflect on how their contributions could help create a better and livelier society for all.

The firm said that without the enormous contributions of workers in both the public and private sectors, Nigeria’s story would not be complete. The Rector, in his message, said: “It is my joy to rejoice with the entire workforce of Yaba College of Technology, on the auspicious 2024 Workers’ Day celebration.

“I have enjoyed your full support in the running of this institution. Without mincing words, your cooperation has enabled this administration to record monumental developmental achievements in academic, infrastructure, training and excellent administration to the satisfaction of the Federal Government.”

“As we celebrate, I enjoined us all to uphold the core values, vision and mission of the college and the current administration’s strategic plan of consolidating on the past and shaping its future. Let us reflect on our attitude to the system and show positivity that would enable us to get to the goals.

“Congratulations to all staff, unions, management, principal officers and other stakeholders.”
