FCT gets new corrections controller

Controller General of Nigerian Correctional Service, (NCoS), Haliru Nababa, has deployed John Francis as the new Controller of Corrections, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command.

Controller General of Nigerian Correctional Service, (NCoS), Haliru Nababa, has deployed John Francis as the new Controller of Corrections, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command.

Francis replaces Ibrahim Ndaaba Idris, who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Controller General, (ACG), of Corrections, In charge of Training and Staff Development.

While handing over affairs of the command to Francis yesterday in Abuja, Idris, task staff of the FCT to extend the show of support given him to his successor. He commended their support stating that without that, he wouldn’t have succeeded.

“I can only say I am successful if my successor succeeds,” he said.

In a statement signed by spokesman of the command, Adamu Duza, Idris expressed confidence in the incoming Controller to take the FCT command to greater heights.

On his part, Controller Francis assures of his willingness to work with officers of the Command and stakeholders in the FCT to take Corrections to a greater height building on the successes of his predecessors.

Until his deployment, Francis was the National Chaplain – Protestant Nigerian Correctional Service Headquarters, Abuja.
