Davido has reacted to accusations by song producer Napji that he failed to pay his royalties for the production of his songs.

Napji alleged he is the brain behind three of Davido’s hit songs.

In an “X” post, he disclosed that he produced the songs ‘Jowo’, ’Fem’ and Sunlight In the album’ A better time’, but has not received his full payment.

“I am Napji, producer behind Fem, Jowo and sunlight on @davido album (A better time).Which was released 13th November 2020.

“I was paid an advance of 500 thousand naira for each of the songs. I will be releasing more information as I seek to collect my royalties & publishing.” He said.

Napji has not reveal any new details after his post earlier on.

The song “Jowo” has been opened to various categories of controversies since it’s release.

In 2021, Davido was accused by singer Victor AD of stealing his song “Jowo” which was later debunked.

Davido’s lawyer Bobo F. Ajudua revealed those who wrote and produced the song for Davido, of which Napji was also included.

“As far as I know, Jowo was performed by Davido, written by David Adeleke & Oladeinde Okubajo aka @Davido & @Deindeofficial and prod by Jerry Jethro & Peter A. Kehinde Emmanuel aka Napji & Majicboi.

“That’s as far as I know. Don’t shoot me I’m just the guy that did the paperwork” he said.
