‘Welcome to Wrexham’ Renewed for Season 3 at FX

Newyddion da!

FX has renewed Welcome to Wrexham for a third season that will premiere in 2024. The news comes forward of the conclusion of season two on Dec. 13.

The float-on-the-wall sports documentary sequence follows the exploits of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and their possession of soccer membership Wrexham AFC, the sphere’s third-oldest real soccer membership, situated within the northern Welsh working-class metropolis.

The first season tracked the Two Robs takeover of the membership and their fracture route in soccer fandom (and largely despair) as Wrexham attempts to scheme promotion from the Nationwide League. Season two continues the membership’s growth as Reynolds and McElhenney sink extra money into Wrexham to fancy their promotion dreams.

Welcome to Wrexham has been wildly new for Disney on FX within the U.S. and Disney+ within the leisure of the sphere. Season one is currently nominated for six Emmy Awards, collectively with prominent unstructured fact program.

The docuseries is executive produced by McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Slash Frenkel, George Dewey and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma and Jordan Wynn. Welcome to Wrexham is produced by Extra Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, 3 Arts Leisure and Boardwalk Pictures.
