Nigerian actress and singer, Mercy Isoyip, popularly identified as Descushiel, has apologised to Nigerians and the Nigeria Police Power (NPF) after she recited the nationwide anthem wrongly throughout the Convention for Senior Police Officers in Imo Convey.
Descushiel, who placed on the police uniform throughout the convention, went viral on Monday after she uncared for the lyrics whereas reciting the nationwide anthem at the event.
This resulted in criticisms from some Nigerians on social media as they trolled Descushiel, who was presumed to be a policewoman thanks to her outfit.
On the other hand, in a video on her Instagram chronicle on Tuesday, Descushiel apologised for her errors.
“I sincerely apologise for the error I made throughout the recital of the Nationwide Anthem, I do know such errors are inexcusable,” Descushiel mentioned.
“My correct folk of our country, please accept my apology, to boot to my assurance that I will be more cautious in the end to end such incidents from habitual.
“God bless the Nigeria Police Power. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
